Blueback Poster Printing For Campaigns And Site Advertising
Blueback posters are widely used for outdoor advertising, temporary campaign graphics, construction hoarding displays and large-format promotional rollouts. The blue reverse layer reduces show-through from previous posters and background surfaces, helping colours stay readable in busy urban placements.
- Suitable for billboard frames, paste-up walls and temporary board coverings.
- Useful for short-term outdoor visibility where cost efficiency matters.
- Available in standard poster formats and custom panel breakdowns.
Durable Paper For More Than Paste-Up
Although blueback is primarily known for paste-up work, it is also a durable practical stock for non-pasted display uses. Many customers use it in pavement sign boxes, temporary display frames and protected site notice points where regular paper stocks can curl or degrade quickly.
- Can be used without paste in pavement sign boxes and poster frames.
- Handles handling and short-term weather exposure better than many indoor papers.
- A practical option for repeating local offers and event notices.
What Is Blueback Paper?
Blueback is a specialist poster paper with a blue-coated reverse. That blue layer helps block underlying graphics and reduces transparency, so your campaign remains legible when mounted over old posters or imperfect surfaces. It is typically chosen for billboards, hoardings and high-volume street promotion.
- Blue reverse helps prevent show-through from previous layers.
- Designed for short-term outdoor communication and promotional use.
- Works well for paste-up campaigns and practical display placements.
How To Paste Blueback Posters
- Submerge the blueback poster in water for at least 45 minutes. Folding the poster to do this is acceptable.
- Mix your paste to the required consistency.
- Paste the wall/surface area where the poster will be applied.
- Affix the poster to the wall and align it as required.
- Paste over the front of the poster and ensure it is fully adhered, with all edges pressed down and pasted over.
- A broom can be used to apply paste both to the wall/surface and over the top of the poster.
- If tiling multiple sections, ensure the upper piece overlaps the lower poster so rain cannot get behind.
